BODEGA de la HABA is pleased to present a very special Brunch With Artists Series featuring Pulitzer Prize winner Franz Wright and poet extraordinaire Geoffrey Bartholomew on Sunday, May 27th, 11am-1pm, at the venerable McSorley’s Old Ale House, 15 East 7th street, in New York’s East Village. Tickets are $20 and include a round of ales and Irish brunch. RSVP a must! Seating is limited and on a first come, first serve, basis.
A night of rock and roll like you’ve never heard it awaits you. We’ll talk to you in our deep-voiced man yowl and pluck that violin and use our hands as drumsticks. It’s time to get weird with it, man. Everything is so right it’s wrong.
"The exhibition features numerous works from his Shanghai Period which were inspired by his many adventures in China. BTA's "Urban Primitive Pop" (UPP) style successfully bridges the fine and commercial art worlds and strives to continue that with his recently released product line of clothing and home accessories. Create your own reality is the mantra that BTA lives by and the reality he has indeed created is one that has successfully spanned the globe. Armed with his energetic UPP style, BTA is able to capture the vibe of the city through a language of symbols and color. His use of intricate line work paired with a kaleidoscope of inter-locking images aims to celebrate the diversity and joy of the human spirit."

An afternoon delight in word and song with writers:

Promises to be a well warranted respite from the cold, the rain, the snow, the gas lines, the black outs, the flooding and the aggravation of it all. Come sit amongst friends, painters, poets, writers and musicians and have a pint or two. Bagels, cream cheese and coffee on me!
