Great painting constantly strives to expand the boundaries of meaning. Gregory de la Haba’s work embodies this ambition, specifically through the evolution of his "Light Tension" series. By grounding abstract forms in physical opposites, he creates images that feel both ambiguous and deeply significant. Much like modern masters such as Marcel Duchamp—whose unique style redefined the art of his time—de la Haba has spent six years intensely refining his vision. This dedication has transformed his work from a mere signature style into a distinct new phase: the "Locus of Being" series. These new paintings blend expressive and structural elements to create a complex, "quantum" reality. De la Haba uses silhouettes and shifting forms—reminiscent of echoes or refracted light—to capture moments of transformation. The result is a kaleidoscopic experience where meaning is not easily decoded. Instead, the viewer is invited to step into the artist's vision, becoming an active part of the work and its future possibilities. - [Medium Painting](https://delahaba.com/product/medium-painting/) - [Large Painting](https://delahaba.com/product/large-painting/) ## MailPoet Page - [MailPoet Page](https://delahaba.com/?mailpoet_page=subscriptions) - [mailpoet_page] - [MailPoet Page](https://delahaba.com/?mailpoet_page=captcha) - [mailpoet_page] ## Categories - [Bodega](https://delahaba.com/category/bodega/) - [Press](https://delahaba.com/category/press/) - [Events](https://delahaba.com/category/bodega/events/) - [Interviews](https://delahaba.com/category/interviews/) - [Essays](https://delahaba.com/category/essays/) ## Tags - [1980's Photography](https://delahaba.com/tag/1980s-photography/) - [downtown art scene](https://delahaba.com/tag/downtown-art-scene/) - [Art Basel](https://delahaba.com/tag/art-basel/) - [California Locos](https://delahaba.com/tag/california-locos/) - [Rolex](https://delahaba.com/tag/rolex/) - [watch](https://delahaba.com/tag/watch/) ## Work Categories - [Diptychs](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/diptychs/) - [Triptychs](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/triptychs/) - [Portals](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/portals/) - [Large Canvas](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/large-canvas/) - [Totem](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/totem/) - [Canvas](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/canvas/) - [Duende!](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/duende/) - [Tension Locks](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/tension-locks/) - [Figurative](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/figurative/) - [Archive](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/archive/) - [Light Tensions](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/light-tensions/) - [Easy](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/easy/) - [Capochiave](https://delahaba.com/work_cat/capochiave/) ## Product categories - [Uncategorized](https://delahaba.com/product-category/uncategorized/) - [Large Canvas](https://delahaba.com/product-category/large-canvas/)
